About this project
An editorial blog (The Plain Page) built with plain PHP 8 - no framework, no database, no Composer packages and no build step. Articles and author profiles are Markdown files with front matter; drop a file into content/posts and it goes live on its date, with future-dated posts held back for scheduled publishing and drafts never shown. Readers get a magazine-style home page, paginated article lists, topic, tag and author pages, site search, reading time, a table of contents, related articles and share / copy-link buttons, in light and dark themes. Newsletter signup and contact form are protected by a CSRF token and honeypot and saved to private storage. The sitemap, RSS feed, robots.txt, Open Graph tags and JSON-LD structured data are generated automatically.
